Each day is different, but:

• Taking ownership of one or more areas of the platform to meet the business needs in a scalable, performant and cost-effective manner

• Working closely with key stakeholders to ensure high level designs meet both business and technical requirements

• Guiding research and making recommendations on platform architecture including evaluating technological alternatives and concepts

• Mentoring team members and ensuring delivery of high quality products through collaboration and code reviews
• Working closely with the engineering leadership to design and shape processes and standards which impact the development and maintenance of the platform

• Developing, testing and maintaining Everstox products as a member of a cross-functional engineering team, including hands-on work and project ownership

You are special because:

• 8+ years of software engineering work experience with 2+ years as technical lead or in similar position

• Hands-on coding experience in building microservices and data pipelines, ideally in Python, including experience in building big data processing platforms

• Experience in processing and storing large volumes of data including technical decision making and considering technological alternatives and trade-offs

• Experience in designing technical solutions using cloud based infrastructure (preferably AWS)

• Ability to consider business requirements and clearly communicate technical requirements and limitations to non-technical stakeholders

• Ability to take ownership of strategic initiatives and drive development of long lasting projects from start to finish

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
